After I repaired the sill and foundation I was able to frame my deck. But first I dumped about 6 tons of pea stone under the deck over the dirt and used some large field stone as a perimeter to contain it. This looks great and aids in the dampness under the deck when it come to drainage. Also it will be cleaner for storage of canoes, rafts, etc. The top deck is clear 5/4 clear cedar decking with the "camo" hidden fastener system.
